CARMA also seeks individuals
who would like to sponsor a cat or dog or who would like
to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of several
"halfway houses" run by CARMA volunteers. These
halfway houses provide food, shelter, and medical care for
cats until they find permanent, loving adoptive homes.
CARMA is currently in desperate need of cat fosters. They
also need volunteers in a variety of capacities. (I'm a
CARMA cat adopter and cat foster!)

Dakota
is an incredibly sweet 1-year-old neutered boy
that just loves to play. He will chase a wand toy
until he loses himself, looking
like a dog chasing his tail. He is really good
with dogs, loves his food, and is a
very comical, fun kitty. "I'm ready for my
close-up, Mr. DeMille."
Adopting a companion and friend
CARMA has a fee
of $85-$100 for cats and dogs. The fee pays for the
spay/neuter and age-appropriate vaccinations. The
application process involves filling out a paper application
and then going through a verbal screening with one of our
members. They also do a home visit before adopting out the
animal.

has loved an animal, part of their soul is unawakened."***
